Sometimes we get so busy with trying to get directions and instructions from other people and other sources that we forget who’s the line leader.
What is a line leader? The chosen one, by the teacher, that is given specific instructions from the teacher on which direction the entire line needs to go. The line leader sees what you can’t see first. Even if you’re right behind the line leader, the line leader still saw it first. The line leader is normally picked by the teacher because they can be trusted to lead.
Most times the line leader doesn’t turn around and give each student in the line, exact directions and details on were they’re going, he just excepts those in line to follow suit.
For example, if the teacher says, we’re going to the library, line leader, I need you to lead the way.
The line leader doesn’t turn around and say, “Now listen up everybody, here’s all the details that you’re going to need while following me. In about 200 feet we’re going take a make a right then go another 500 feet, make a sharp left, and continue about 1 mile east.” No the line leader doesn’t do that. The line leader just leads and expects you to follow.
All the followers need to know is that the line leader is trustworthy to lead the line.
Has the Holy Spirit not been trust worthy enough to lead the line?
Has He not proven himself to know how to lead the line?
Who’s the Teacher? Jesus
Who’s the Line leader? Holy Spirit
If we look at the Story of Elijah in 1 Kings 19.
Elijah stopped following the leader and then ended up in a cave. He got into his own mind that now he knows the way…after all that God has done and proven to him, now Elijah is the leader. Where does his thinking lead him into, a cave. Look around and check your surroundings, this will show you who’s been leading and whether or not you’ve been following the leader!
The part that I want to focus in on with Elijah’s story is even when he led himself into the cave, God’s work still continued.
What am I saying? You can go into a cave. Make a bad pit stop, get stuck doing unproductive stuff, get hooked up with the wrong people. But guess what, God has and is already raising up someone that will follow the leader.
God was already raising up 2 kings and a prophet. All while Elijah made a pit stop in a cave and the prophet was his very own replacement.
God’s work will continue. Believe that!!
Don’t let your attention in this season be given to another voice that can’t see where you need to be.
Mothers, we are all called to do a great work in this season and we need to follow the line leader(Holy Spirit) in the direction that he’s personally taking us. This applies to ALL mothers, whether you stay at home, work outside the home, single or married.
Psalm 81:13-16 (MSG)
““Oh, dear people, will you listen to me now? Israel, will you follow my map? I’ll make short work of your enemies, give your foes the back of my hand. I’ll send the GOD -haters cringing like dogs, never to be heard from again. You’ll feast on my fresh-baked bread spread with butter and rock-pure honey.””
John 10:27 (KJV)
“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:”
